Art from East Anglia

Based in the Suffolk countryside, we have been a source for collectors of 19th and 20th Century art for over 20 years with a particular focus on East Anglian artists.

Nicholas has a degree in Art History from the University of East Anglia. He began his working life at Sotheby's in Sussex in 1996 before joining Christie's South Kensington as a picture specialist in the British and Irish Art department. Since 2002 he has worked as an independent art dealer assisting clients with both the purchase and sale of fine art. He works alongside his wife, Lizzie who also trained at Sotheby's.

East Anglia with its gently undulating landscape and vast skies has inspired some of the greatest painters from Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable, right through to Sir Alfred Munnings and Edward Seago in the twentieth century. The work of artists from the region has always been keenly sought after but recent years have seen increased demand for artists such as Harry Becker, Arnesby Brown and artists from the Benton End Group.
